Bandits set brothel, NSCDC checkpoint ablaze, abduct resident

Suspected bandits have attacked Tsamiya community in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, burning a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) checkpoint and abducting a resident.
The assailants reportedly stormed the community on Saturday, setting fire to the NSCDC security post, a local brothel and the residence of Sule Mai Goge during the raid.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Bashir Usman, disclosed in a statement that one Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfare was kidnapped by the attackers.
According to him, the state police command has since deployed tactical operatives to Tsamiya to reinforce security and restore calm in the area.
He added that investigations into the attack were underway, while security agencies had intensified efforts to rescue the abducted victim and apprehend those responsible for the incident.
The command also reassured residents of Tsamiya and neighbouring communities of its determination to safeguard lives and property and ensure a return to normalcy.
