New twist as Ned Nwoko claims Regina Daniels’ crisis stems from drug abuse

Senator Ned Nwoko has responded publicly after a viral video showed his wife, actress Regina Daniels, in an agitated state, attributing her recent behaviour to “drug-influenced” actions and “unprovoked carnage.”
In a statement and accompanying video posted on his verified Instagram handle, #princenednwoko, on Sunday, Nwoko alleged that the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction — a problem he claimed had destabilised their marriage.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.
“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.
The lawmaker further alleged that Regina had recently gone on a violent rampage in his absence, attacking workers and damaging property.
“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.
“Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” the senator alleged.
According to Nwoko, he had suggested two rehabilitation centres — one in Asokoro and another in Jordan — “where she will not have access to drugs.” He also blamed some of her close associates for worsening the situation, describing them as “drug suppliers.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier.
“Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
His statement followed a viral video on Saturday showing the actress visibly distressed and yelling during a confrontation, which drew concern from fans and colleagues.
In the clip, Regina was heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, also reacted on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
As of press time, Regina Daniels and her representatives had not responded to Nwoko’s claims.
The actress, who married the senator in 2019, has often been in the spotlight alongside the businessman. Their marriage, marked by a 40-year age difference, has consistently drawn public attention and debate.
