APC National chairman loses mother

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda. She died at the age of 83.
According to a statement issued by the APC’s Plateau State acting Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi, Mama Lydia passed away on Sunday at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
The party described her as a devoted Christian and virtuous woman who lived a life of humility, service, and commitment to the growth of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN). Her contributions to the church and her community, the APC noted, remain a shining legacy.
She was widely respected for her humane disposition, community service, and commitment to the welfare of others.
The loss is said to be devastating, especially to the Yilwatda family, as Mama Lydia’s prayers, wise counsel, and motherly support were highly valued by her family, particularly the National Chairman.
The party prayed for the repose of her soul and for God’s comfort upon the bereaved family.
