3 arraigned for allegedly breaking into First Bank

Three men—Femi Faleti, 59; Ayode Adewale, 41; and Idowu Y, 41—were on Friday arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over allegations of burglary and theft at a First Bank branch in Oyo State.
The trio, whose residential addresses were not disclosed, faced charges of conspiracy, housebreaking, and stealing. They all pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecution, led by Inspector Elisha Tellang, the incident occurred on March 24 at around 7:30 p.m. at the First Bank branch in Asogo, Oyo.
Tellang told the court that the defendants allegedly broke into the bank premises and made away with two laptops valued at ₦800,000.
He stated that the alleged offences violate Sections 516, 413, and 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Presiding Magistrate Moyosore Atanda granted each defendant bail in the sum of ₦300,000, with two sureties each in like amount.
She adjourned the matter until September 8 for further hearing.
