Ex-deputy speaker dies in road accident

A former Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Christopher Ayeni, is dead.

Ayeni died in a road accident in the early hours of Thursday, 31 October, 2024.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, who expressed sadness over the death, has conveyed his profound condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the deceased.

In a statement by his chief press secretary, Governor Abdulrazaq described the development as devastating even as he commiserated with the people of Isapa in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state on the incident.

The Governor prays to Almighty God to rest the soul of the former lawmaker and give his loved ones the strength to bear the huge loss.
