 Chinese national abducted in Abuja

A Chinese national identified as Mr. Yangi Ming has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Abuja, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of ₦300 million for his release.

Mr. Ming, an employee at Panda Supermarket in the Jabi district of the capital, was reportedly taken on Thursday, April 18, 2025, shortly after leaving his residence at Stargate Apartments in Durumi around 5:00 p.m.

According to security analyst Zagozola Makama, the victim was last seen wearing brown shorts and a black polo shirt. The incident came to light after his sister, Aisha Pan, who lives in Sharanda, Kano State, received a ransom call made from Mr. Ming’s mobile phone.

As of press time, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command had yet to release an official statement or respond to inquiries regarding the abduction.
