ISWAP terrorists blow up another bridge in Yobe

Suspected fighters from the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) have bombed another major bridge, this time in Gujiba Local Government Area of Yobe State, further crippling infrastructure in the region already reeling from a series of recent attacks.
According to intelligence sources quoted by counter-insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama, the insurgents detonated an explosive device around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, targeting the bridge linking Ngirbuwa and Gonori town.
The blast destroyed what remained of the structure, cutting off movement between the two communities.
This latest incident comes just two days after a coordinated wave of assaults in neighbouring Borno State, where three other bridges were either partially or completely destroyed.
On Wednesday, Wednesday when terrorists destroyed Manda Fuma bridge near Biu, a strategic route crucial for both civilian and military transit.
In addition to the Manda Fuma bridge, unconfirmed but emerging reports indicated that the bridge in Alaramma was also brought down.
According to a report shared by a security and intelligence platform, Eons Intelligence, on its verified X handle on Wednesday, the bridge connecting the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Wajiroko to Sabon Gari was also reportedly destroyed—severely impacting the movement of security forces and logistical support in the area.
