APC chieftain hails party s tenacity in Kano says NNPP dead amid Kwakwanso s defection moves

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Seyi Olorunsola, has commended the Kano State branch of the party for its unwavering dedication and loyalty amid political turbulence. He praised their determination in striving to reclaim the state from what he termed the failed governance of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

In a statement, Olorunsola applauded the leadership of APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, crediting him with reinforcing the party’s stature not only in Kano but nationwide.

“The resilience of Kano APC is commendable,” Olorunsola stated. “Dr. Ganduje’s leadership has brought a renewed sense of direction and strength to the party. His experience and deep political insight have solidified our presence nationally.”

He also reserved high praise for Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, describing him as the “gentle giant” and lauding his calm disposition, humility, and ability to unite people across Kano’s 44 local government areas.

“Senator Barau has remained a pillar of support for the party,” Hon. Olorunsola added. “His doggedness and administrative prowess have reinforced APC’s dominance in Kano North while also expanding the party’s reach in Kano Central and Kano South.”

Olorunsola acknowledged Senator Barau’s longstanding role in shaping the APC’s foundation in the state and noted his continued influence at the grassroots level, despite holding a top national office.

He further recognized the contributions of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, for challenging what he called the NNPP’s “cheap propaganda” and shielding Kano citizens from misinformation.

“The trio of Ganduje, Barau, and Ata have successfully exposed the failures of the NNPP-led administration in Kano,” he asserted. “Their leadership has stripped the NNPP of its deceptive narratives, leaving them scrambling.”

Echoing sentiments previously expressed by Dr. Ganduje, Olorunsola described the NNPP as a party that has lost all relevance both in Kano and across Nigeria.

“NNPP is nothing more than a political scam—Kwankwaso’s project of manipulation, now fully exposed,” he said. “The people of Kano have seen the light and are rallying behind the APC once again.”

According to him, Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf are now politically unsettled, desperately seeking relevance, and allegedly planning to return to the APC after failed attempts to hijack and destabilize previous platforms such as the PDP and now NNPP.

“Unfortunately for them, the APC has moved on,” he emphasized. “Ours is a progressive party filled with visionary minds, united under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We have no space for bad energy.”

Olorunsola concluded by affirming the APC’s preparedness to rescue Kano State from the clutches of the NNPP. He also declared full and unrelenting support for President Tinubu’s administration, expressing optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.

“Kano APC is united, determined, and ready. We have full confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, and by the grace of God, victory is certain come 2027,” he said.

He extended gratitude to Dr. Ganduje, Senator Barau,  Ata, the state party chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, and all stakeholders and members across the 44 local government areas for their resilience and commitment to the party’s ideals.
