Tragedy as gunmen kill 3 policemen at checkpoint in Enugu

In a tragic development, at least three police officers have been killed by unidentified gunmen in Achi, a community in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.

According to reports, the attack occurred near the Ozudaa Market checkpoint in Achi. The assailants ambushed the officers in the early hours of the day, opening fire on them at close range.

Although details of the incident remain sketchy, a disturbing video circulating on social media shows the lifeless bodies of the policemen at the scene, sparking widespread outrage and grief.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, were unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls at the time of filing this report.
