Woman allegedly kills younger sister with cutlass in Enugu

A shocking tragedy has rocked the Aji community in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, as a woman allegedly killed her younger sister with a cutlass.
The identity of the suspect remains undisclosed, but reports suggest that she also attempted to attack her mother and her late sister’s child.
Details surrounding the incident are still emerging, and the exact time of the attack has yet to be confirmed.
Witnesses reported that the woman admitted to being possessed by an unusual entity. In a video shared on Facebook by Anyika TV, she stated, “I was possessed by a strange being; it was not me that did it.”
The video captured the suspect’s confession, showing her in a visibly distressed state. She asserted that her actions were beyond her control, claiming to have been driven by an unseen force.

“I don’t know what came over me; I just saw myself with the cutlass and I started attacking them,” she said.
The suspect’s family is still trying to come to terms with the incident. Her mother and niece, who were also attacked, have been rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently battling for their lives.
“We are shocked and devastated by this incident; we don’t know what could have led her to do such a thing,” a family member said.
Attempts by SaharaReporters to reach the Enugu State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the Command’s spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, was unavailable at the time of filing this report.
However, sources indicate that the police in Igbo-Eze North have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
