Middle-aged man commits suicide in Oyo

A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man has reportedly taken his own life in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in the L. Adisa area of Akinyele Local Government Area.

According to reports, the man’s body was discovered hanging from a tree in a bush behind the World Oil Petro Station along the Ibadan-Oyo expressway.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, as investigations are still ongoing.

At the time of reporting, security operatives, including the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Western Security Network, codenamed Operation Amotekun, were present at the scene to evacuate the corpse and further assess the situation.
