Suspected armed robbers gun down cleric in Gombe

Tragedy struck the Lubo community in Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State on Monday as Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) worship centre, was murdered by suspected armed robbers.
The attackers reportedly stormed the cleric’s residence in the early hours of the morning, taking his life in a brutal act that has sent shockwaves through the community.
In response, Governor Inuwa Yahaya condemned the heartless killing and directed security agencies to track down the perpetrators.

In a statement released by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, the governor expressed deep sorrow and offered his condolences to the family, church members, and the Lubo community.
“Governor Inuwa Yahaya strongly condemned the reprehensible act, describing it as an assault on the peace and security that Gombe State has long enjoyed.
“The governor stressed that such incidents must not be allowed to undermine the peaceful coexistence in the state”, the statement said.
He extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the ECWA Church, and the entire Christian community, praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
