Wike revokes Abuja land allocations for Gov Uzodimma Diri Speaker Abbas 565 others

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revoked land allocations for Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen, along with 565 other allottees.

According to a statement from Lere Olayinka, the minister’s media aide, the revocation follows the expiration of a two-week grace period granted to the 3,273 land allottees to pay their Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) bills.

Despite the extended grace period, 568 of the allottees, including the high-profile individuals, failed to meet the payment deadline, prompting the minister to proceed with the land withdrawal on January 15, 2025.
