Renowned Islamic scholar, Muyideen Bello, is dead

Prominent Islamic scholar and preacher, Muyideen Bello, has passed away at the age of 84.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Alhaji Bello gained widespread recognition for his impactful Islamic teachings and sermons.
The news of his death was shared on Friday morning by Alfa Aribidesi of At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah, another well-known Islamic scholar.
Additionally, Basit Olarenwaju, a devout follower and Islamic singer better known as Aponle Anabi, posted a tribute on his official Facebook page, accompanied by an image of the late scholar and tearful emojis.

Sheikh Akewugbagold Taofeek, a respected cleric based in Ibadan, also expressed his sorrow in a heartfelt Facebook post. He wrote, “Today is one of my saddest days! My father and mentor has returned to his Creator. SULTONUL WAHIZEEN of Yorubaland Sheikh Muhyideen AJANI BELLO, may Allah be pleased with your soul. Aljannah Firdaos for you. Our heart is full of grief, and our eyes full of tears, but we will say nothing but what will please our Creator, the sole commander of life and death – ALLAH.”
The news has been met with an outpouring of tributes and prayers from the Muslim community, reflecting the deep impact of Bello’s life and teachings.
