UniAbuja gets new female acting registrar

The Governing Council of the University of Abuja has appointed Mrs. Islamiya Abdulraheem as the acting registrar of the institution, pending the selection of a substantive registrar.
This decision was made during the council’s 71st Extraordinary Meeting, held on November 5, 2024.
Mrs. Abdulraheem, a seasoned administrator, previously served as Deputy Registrar in the Vice Chancellor’s Office and Deputy Registrar of Establishment.
Her extensive experience in university administration makes her well-suited for this role.
According to a statement released by Dr. Habib Yakoob, Acting Director of Information and University Relations, her appointment will take effect on November 12, 2024.
She will succeed Malam Yahaya Mohammed, whose five-year tenure as registrar concludes on the same day.
