Ex-Kaduna gov, Markarfi, loses son

Tragedy has struck the family of former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi, as his son Faisal has passed away in a road accident.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening along the Kaduna-Zaria highway, and Faisal was rushed to a hospital where he was unfortunately declared dead.
Faisal, a civil engineer by training, had an impressive academic background.
He attended Kaduna International School, then Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, and later pursued his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Greenwich, London. He was also enrolled in a PhD programme at the same institution.

This heartbreaking news comes just a day after another prominent Nigerian family suffered a loss. On Friday, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) lost his 23-year-old daughter, Fatima, who passed away in Abuja after a brief illness ¹.
Senator Makarfi, who also served as the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was present at the hospital but couldn’t be reached for comments ¹. The family has begun burial arrangements, and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
