Chelsea revive interest in Victor Osimhen

Chelsea Football Club have rekindled its pursuit of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, after failing to secure his signature during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old striker was Chelsea’s top target before negotiations with Napoli broke down over personal terms. Osimhen’s desire to leave Napoli led to his exclusion from the squad and subsequent loan move to Galatasaray.
The loan deal includes a break clause allowing Osimhen to leave in January if his €75m release clause is triggered, significantly lower than Napoli’s initial €120m demand.

Sources close to Galatasaray have dismissed reports of the Turkish club’s interest in signing Osimhen permanently, citing inability to meet his price tag.
Osimhen reportedly favours a Premier League move and has no long-term plans to stay in Turkey. Chelsea has reopened communication with his representatives to gauge his interest in a January transfer.
Juventus is also interested in Osimhen as a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic. However, Chelsea’s January move will depend on Nicolas Jackson’s form.
Other strikers, including RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, are also being considered.
Osimhen has impressed at Galatasaray with two goals and four assists in four appearances, but his sights remain set on returning to one of Europe’s top leagues.
