First Baptist Church Gwagwalada marks end of 14 day fast with praise thanksgiving

The annual 14-day fasting and prayer programme of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada, Abuja, has concluded with a thanksgiving praise session as Abuja-based gospel artistes, Unique Twins and Femi Bello, led the congregation in high-powered praise and worship to thank God for the successful completion of the programme.

The fasting and prayer, held under the theme, “Break Camp, Move Forward and Possess the Land,” was used to commit the lives of church members and the affairs of Nigeria as they journey through the year 2026.

Earlier, the Minister in charge of the church, Reverend Deji Oyelami, admonished the congregation to remain steadfast in faith and prayers for their breakthrough and success in their endeavours in the new year.

Reverend Oyelami, who took his Bible reading from Joshua Chapter 6 verses 1 to 10, urged members not to deviate from the lessons learnt during the 14-day fasting and prayer in order to reap its gains.

He also enjoined Christians to shun acts capable of denying them the opportunity of attaining their next level in their endeavours in the year 2026.

The clergyman further stressed the need for Christians to be committed to the service of God and humanity in 2026 to ensure the betterment of society.
