Stakeholders communities rally for Ramatu Bello s House of Reps bid

Ahead of the 2027 general election, leaders, community groups and political stakeholders from Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal Constituency have endorsed Engr. Ramatu Sali Bello for the House of Representatives seat.

The endorsement was announced during a rally in Mubi attended by more than 3,000 supporters from across the constituency. The event, held at Sani Bello Hall, formed part of Bello’s homecoming activities marking her birthday and end-of-year charity outreach in Adamawa State.

Announcing the decision on behalf of the leaders, Alhaji Hassan Pakka said the endorsement followed extensive consultations among various interest groups in the constituency. He cited Bello’s interventions in community development, including the distribution of palliatives, provision of water projects and support for farmers with implements aimed at improving livelihoods.

Pakka criticised previous representatives for what he described as limited development impact over the past six years. He identified key challenges facing the constituency as youth unemployment, poor access to federal empowerment programmes, dilapidated road networks, inadequate potable water supply, weak healthcare and education facilities, and persistent security concerns in border communities of Maiha and parts of Mubi.

Responding, Engr. Bello thanked constituents for the endorsement, describing it as “emotional and motivating.” She pledged to offer effective representation if elected, with a focus on attracting federal projects, improving social services and restoring hope across the constituency.

She also commended Dr. Martina Yilwatda, wife of the APC National Chairman and Matron of Women Leaders Support Advancement, for partnering with Ramat Foundation to empower 100 women petty traders with ₦50,000 each.

Dignitaries at the rally included Ambassador Kevin Peter, Hon. J.J. Ahmed, Hon. Isah Yahaya Sorau and other prominent leaders from the area.
