BREAKING : 130 kidnapped Niger schoolchildren regain freedom — Presidency

The Federal Government has secured the release of 130 schoolchildren abducted by gunmen from St. Mary’s Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, in Niger State.

The development was confirmed on Sunday by a presidential spokesman, Sunday Dare, in a post on his official X handle.

“Another 130 abducted Niger state pupils released, none left in captivity,” Dare said in the post on X.

The announcement was accompanied by a photograph showing the freed children alongside a woman, with indications that all those taken during the attack have now regained their freedom.
