Actress Doris reportedly arrested amid love affair dispute involving Lagos pastor

Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has reportedly been arrested following a controversy linked to her fallout with a Lagos-based pastor, with the alleged arrest taking place during a livestream on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

The development reportedly occurred while the actress was engaged in a live online conversation with a social media personality. During the exchange, the interviewer asked her, “The police are in your house?” to which Ogala replied, “Yes, the police are in my house.”

Moments later, Ogala was heard scolding an individual identified as “Charity” for admitting people into her residence despite an earlier instruction. The interviewer also questioned whether the officers were in possession of a warrant and advised the actress to keep her phone switched on and connected.

Reacting to the incident, comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Dee One, announced the alleged arrest on his Instagram page. In a post shared with his followers, he wrote, “Doris Ogala has just been arrested. I tried to warn her; the allegations did not add up. Now she will have to defend her story in court. Everywhere good, my people.”

Efforts by this reporter to obtain Ogala’s reaction were unsuccessful, as repeated calls to her phone did not go through, and messages sent to her WhatsApp account had not been acknowledged as of the time of filing this report.

Similarly, attempts to contact Dee One for further clarification yielded no results. Calls placed to his phone were unanswered, and he had yet to respond to a message sent to him at the time of publication.

In a related development, a response received from a phone line obtained from a church’s social media page and saved on WhatsApp as “Dr Chris Okafor” read, “Kindly debunk any rumour you are seeing on the internet; it is a false allegation. Thanks.”

The controversy followed a now-deleted social media post shared by Ogala on Friday, in which she allegedly displayed an image of a man identified as Okafor in what appeared to be a private setting. In the caption accompanying the post, she accused him of dishonesty and claimed to have video evidence to substantiate her claims.

The incident came shortly after the cleric’s wedding to his new bride, identified as Pearl, which reportedly took place earlier in the week. Okafor was said to have gone ahead with the ceremony despite Ogala’s viral allegations of betrayal, emotional manipulation and failure to honour a promise of marriage after what she described as a long-term relationship.

In several videos posted online over the past few days, Ogala appeared emotional as she accused Okafor of ruining her life following a relationship she claimed lasted for several years, beginning around 2017. She further alleged that she ended her previous marriage at his insistence and suffered emotional distress when the relationship was abruptly brought to an end.
