Tinubu begins Borno, Bauchi visits ahead of Lagos Yuletide engagements

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja on Saturday for official visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states.
The development was made known by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement issued on Friday evening.
According to the statement, President Tinubu will be in Borno State to inaugurate a number of projects executed by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.
While in Maiduguri, the President is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
After his engagements in Borno, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State to commiserate with the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.

Following the condolence visit, the President will travel to Lagos, where he will spend the forthcoming end-of-year holidays.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu is expected to participate in several activities, including attending the Eyo Festival slated for December 27 as guest of honour.
The festival, which will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, is expected to celebrate notable personalities such as the President’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
