Pastor silent as actress releases ‘nude image’

Lagos-based pastor, Chris Okafor, has declined to respond to allegations made by actress Doris Ogala, who has accused him of promising marriage to her and other women, including members of his congregation, before eventually marrying another person.
Ogala recently shared, and later deleted, a post containing what appeared to be a photo of Okafor topless, with a towel wrapped around his waist, inside a bedroom.
Accompanying the image, she wrote, “This is his bedroom. After making love. Full video dropping soon. You said I’m lying; okay. You shared my naked body. Everyone will watch yours. This video is from a girl he promised marriage. She sent it to me.”
The post surfaced shortly after Okafor’s wedding to his bride, identified as Pearl, which took place during the week. The cleric proceeded with the ceremony despite Ogala’s viral accusations of betrayal, emotional manipulation, and reneging on an alleged promise of marriage following what she described as a long-term relationship.

In several videos circulating online, Ogala tearfully accused Okafor of ruining her life after an alleged relationship that reportedly began around 2017 and lasted for years. She claimed that she ended her previous marriage at his insistence and suffered emotional trauma when he abruptly ended their relationship without warning.
Apparently referring to Okafor’s wedding plans at the time, Ogala could be heard repeatedly saying, “No, you will not marry ooo, who are you leaving me for, this marriage will not work.”
Speaking earlier with Saturday Beats on April 12, 2025, Ogala maintained that her relationship with Okafor was well known. She said, “I practically lived in his house, and all his daughters and his sister’s son know me. We had s€x everywhere in the house because he was my boyfriend then, and he promised me marriage.”
In another interview during the week with media personality Daddy Freeze, Ogala said her public outburst stemmed from emotional vulnerability. She insisted that she had a “deeply affectionate relationship” with Okafor, adding, “The relationship Chris and I shared was filled with so much love. I knew it was love at first sight because I’m an actor and I understand what love means. We were so close that he never hid anything from me. We were so much in love with each other.”
She further claimed that the relationship spanned from 2017 to 2019.
In a separate video posted on Ogala’s page, a colleague identified as Digidi Dunhill alleged that the actress had attempted to harm herself.
Ogala also shared what she described as a “formal demand letter” from her legal representatives, Synergy Law, on Instagram during the week. The letter demanded N1bn in damages from Okafor for alleged breach of a promise to marry, emotional distress, and reputational damage. She also accused the cleric of granting her access to his finances during their relationship before abandoning her following his engagement.
The legal notice reportedly gave Okafor 21 days to respond or face legal action. Ogala stated that her demands were driven by alleged betrayal, financial losses, and emotional trauma linked to his wedding plans, which she claimed were influenced by underlying scandals.
Efforts to reach Okafor for comments were unsuccessful.
