Chinese man abducted after killing of 8 NSCDC operatives in Okpella regains freedom in Kogi, leaves Nigeria

A Chinese expatriate who was abducted during an attack that left eight personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) dead in Edo State has been released.
The victim, identified as Mr. Wang, was seized on Sept. 5 in an assault aimed at a team of NSCDC operatives deployed to safeguard Chinese workers at the BUA Cement Plant in Okpella.
Security analyst Zagozola Makama disclosed that Mr. Wang regained his freedom at about 11:30 p.m. on December 2 in Kabba, Kogi State.
According to sources, the expatriate immediately left the country after his release and has now returned to China.
It remains unclear whether any ransom was paid or how the negotiations leading to his freedom were conducted.
