BREAKING : Rivers Assembly Speaker, 15 other pro-Wike  lawmakers dump PDP for APC

Sixteen lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly have switched political allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PFP)to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group, led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, and loyal to Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, formalised their defection during Friday’s plenary session.

Amaewhule told the chamber that their move was prompted by what he described as a “clear division” within the PDP.
