Kwara church resumes worship days after bandit attack

The Christ Apostolic Church, CAC Oke Isegun in Eruku, Kwara State, returned to worship on Sunday, holding a special service inside its stained auditorium as members prayed for the safe release of those kidnapped and for the souls of congregants lost in Tuesday’s attack by bandits.
During the service, church officials provided an updated account of the incident, announcing that 38 people were abducted—an increase from the earlier figures shared online.
Confirming the development, the church secretary, Michael Agbabiaka, explained that their initial list included 35 church members.
He said, further checks, however, showed that three additional victims who were not members of the congregation were also taken, raising the total to 38.
