Enough Is Enough US congressman Riley Moore reacts to Niger school abductions

United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has denounced the abduction of students and teachers from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, describing the incident as further proof of the worsening security crisis in Nigeria.

Moore, who has been outspoken on religious-freedom issues in West Africa, expressed sorrow over the attack and reaffirmed what he called the United States’ commitment to ending alleged Christian persecution in Nigeria.

“Heartbreaking,” Moore wrote in a post on X on Friday. “St Mary’s Catholic School in Nigeria was attacked overnight, with more than 50 students and teachers being kidnapped.”“Enough is enough. We must do everything we can to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ,” he added.

The kidnapping occurred just days after another attack in Kebbi State, where terrorists seized 25 students from the Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School. Local officials in Niger State confirmed Friday’s assault, though the exact number of abducted students and staff remains uncertain.
