2027: Serving, ex-Kano APC legislators visit party leaders to forge unity

The Forum of APC former and serving members of the Kano State House of Assembly has embarked on visits to leaders of the party in Abuja as part of efforts to forge unity among members of the party.
A statement issued to journalists in Kano by the Forum on Friday said the Forum under the leadership of a former Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji AbdulAziz Garba Gafasa, had paid a solidarity visit to the leader of the APC in Kano State and former National Chairman of the party, Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje,as part of the initiative.
The statement which was issued by the leader of the Forum,AbdulAziz Garba Gafasa, said the Forum had also visited the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2023 elections in Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo, and the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and a host of others.
Gafasa said the move is aimed at forging a common front among members of the party, especially as the 2027 general elections are fast approaching.
“We cannot fold our hands and allow our party to be in disarray.We must unite and forge a common front with which to approach the 2027 general elections.
“Our great party,the APC,is still strong in Kano State and we need a united front to enable us regain power in the state.
“That is why we as a Forum, unanimously agreed to embark on these solidarity visits to our leaders and to talk to each other ahead of the 2027 general elections, so as to achieve the objective,”Gafasa added.
