Mentally unstable man shoots soldier dead after snatching AK-47 in Lagos

A tragic incident unfolded on Monday at a military checkpoint in Lagos State, where a mentally unstable man allegedly killed a soldier by snatching his rifle and shooting him.

The shocking event occurred in the Agbowa community along the Ikorodu Expressway. Witnesses reported that the attacker approached the checkpoint unexpectedly, overpowered the soldier, seized his weapon, and opened fire.

“An insane man snatched a military man’s rifle and shot him dead at a check point. It happened at Adeogun bridge in Agbowa,” a police source told SaharaReporters.

Calls put across to the Lagos State command spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi were not picked nor returned.
