The Confederation of African Football, working jointly with the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has confirmed that football fans travelling for next year’s continental championship will be able to obtain electronic visas at no cost.

The initiative applies to supporters from countries that typically require entry visas for Morocco.

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” CAF said in a statement published on its website.

CAF explained that interest in the tournament continues to surge globally, with rising ticket demand from fans.

Supporters will need two key documents — a fan identification card and an e-visa — to enter Morocco and access match venues throughout the championship.

“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.

“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike,” the statement added.

Fans can begin the process by downloading the YALLA app via Google Play, the App Store, or by visiting the dedicated YALLA website. They will be required to fill out the Fan ID form and, where applicable, submit an e-visa request.

Once the documents are approved, supporters can go ahead to buy match tickets on the CAF ticketing portal.

“The new measures are designed to deliver a seamless, secure fan experience for Africa’s showpiece event that will be played across nine stadiums in six cities,” CAF said.

Morocco’s hosting marks the country’s first AFCON since 1988, with the continent’s premier football celebration returning to North Africa at a time of intense anticipation, renewed rivalries, and a fresh wave of African talent eager to shine.

A total of 24 countries will feature at the tournament.
