Why Regina Daniels must undergo rehab – Ned Nwoko

Senator Ned Nwoko has stated that his wife, actress Regina Daniels, needs to undergo rehabilitation for drug-related reasons to protect her health and ensure she can properly care for their children.
Speaking on Sunday in Abuja, Nwoko said his insistence on rehabilitation followed what he described as a series of “alarming toxicology results.”
He explained that the 25-year-old actress had recently shown changes in her personality, displaying violent and destructive tendencies, alongside recurring health crises.
According to the lawmaker, his main concern is for Daniels to recover fully so she can raise their children in a stable and healthy environment.
He noted that the rehabilitation process would help her stay away from drugs while she completes treatment.
“I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children. We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, and I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother. Many people have died of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow.I have lived with this problem for eight good months, and on three occasions I had to carry her to Nizamiye hospital unconscious from a drug overdose, and you can go verify it,” he said.
Nwoko presented toxicology results which he said confirmed the presence of several drugs, some at dangerously high levels. He criticized those advising the actress against medical care, describing them as “her real enemies” and the enemies of her children.
He dismissed social media comments from Daniels’ mother and siblings denying allegations of drug abuse, calling them “baseless distractions.”
“That is why I am saying that everybody has to calm down, join hands to save her but she and her mother are living in denial. If her mother and those supporting her really want to prove me wrong, let them arrange for her to visit any toxicologist of their choice, I will pay.Even you interviewing me now, choose any toxicologist of your choice, here or even outside Nigeria and let’s confirm.”
Addressing online speculation about what might have driven his wife into substance abuse, Nwoko accused her siblings, particularly her brother Sammy, and their friends of encouraging her addiction.
“I don’t think it is bad to trust her siblings and their friends around my wife, but her brother, Sammy and his friends have influenced her.Her close relations and friends that I trusted around her are the ones exploiting her resources to supply her with drugs, leaving her addicted.Imagine the pain of a husband trying to help his wife recover from an addiction, only to have the process sabotaged by her siblings and friends,” he said.
According to him, every time progress was made, her siblings would “undo it by smuggling in the same drugs she was fighting to give up,” adding that they were now preventing her from receiving treatment.
The senator also reacted to a social media post by Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, alleging that his son had died in the United Kingdom from a drug overdose.
He described the claim as “an inhuman attack on the dead,” insisting that no autopsy result indicated such a cause of death.
The ongoing marital dispute between the couple became public after Regina Daniels accused Nwoko of physical assault, declaring she could no longer endure the alleged abuse and was ending the marriage.
Nwoko, however, denied the allegation and attributed her conduct to substance abuse.
