BREAKING: Court announces date for judgement in Nnamdi Kanu’s trial

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled November 20 for the judgment in the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The judge fixed the date on Friday following Kanu’s failure to begin his defence after using up the six days earlier allotted by the court for him to do so.
According to Justice Omotosho, Kanu, having failed to utilise the opportunity granted him to conduct his defence, cannot claim to have been denied his constitutionally guaranteed right to a fair hearing.
