 American football player dies suddenly at 24

American football player, Marshawn Kneeland, who once starred on the  field for Western Michigan University before joining the Dallas Cowboys, has died at the age of 24.

Kneeland was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The team confirmed his passing in an announcement released Thursday morning.

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family,” the Cowboys said in a statement.

Authorities have not released a cause of death.

The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in Dallas, Texas, competing in the National Football League (NFL) since their establishment in 1960.
