 First Baptist Church Gwagwalada celebrates 2025 Harvest Thanksgiving

The Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami has advised christians to always celebrate the goodness of God in their lives to further ensure divine blessings and breakthrough.

He gave the advice in his sermon titled ” A Life of Worship: Celebrating the Goodness of the Lord” during the Church’s 2025 Harvest Thanksgiving Service in Gwagwalada Abuja.

Taking his bible reading from Psalm 103 : 1-5, the Baptist Cleric said God has been faithful to His children despite challenges hence the need to always celebrate Him towards attaining greater heights in life.

“Harvest thanksgiving holds significant biblical importance and serves as reminder to God’s goodness, faithfulness and provision, encouraging gratitude and trusting in the sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ” He stated.

According to him, christians should always express their heart of gratitude for the blessings the Lord has released upon their lives and for His mercy and love over their lives.

In his words “Christians should always live with purpose known that their lives are dedicated to serve and honour God alone”.

While praying for God’s blessings, favour and mercy in the lives of the Church’s members as they look forward for more harvest thanksgiving celebration, Reverend Deji Oyelami stressed the need for them not to allow the present economic situation of the country lure them Into unGodly acquisition of wealth.

Some of the Church members, Prof. Samuel Olanrewaju , Chief Peter Mobolaji and Mr Sunday Aboderin expressed gratitude to God for yet another harvest thanksgiving service of the Church.

While wishing the congregation a happy harvest thanksgiving celebration, they prayed God to spare the lives of every Church’s members towards witnessing more harvest thanksgiving service.

Highpoints of the Church’s 2025 Harvest Thanksgiving Service were special hymn rendition by children and women groups and prayers of thanksgiving for members of the Church and the country in general.
