No one can challenge Tinubu in 2027 – Presidency

The Presidency has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election in 2027, insisting that no politician currently possesses the capacity to challenge him at the polls.
Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, made the assertion on Tuesday in Abuja during a strategic engagement with over 100 pro-Tinubu support groups from across the country.
Speaking at the event tagged: “Meet and Greet with the Spokesman,” Bwala said the interaction was aimed at strengthening coordination between the Presidency and grassroots support networks ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We thought that as part of the strategy to spread the gains of this administration, it is good we connect with the source the support groups engage with them, appreciate them for what they have been doing, and then ask them to do more for the love of the country and for the love of the President,” he said.
According to him, Tinubu’s policy reforms and development strides over the past two years have restored confidence in the nation’s economy and governance system, making his re-election bid inevitable.
“No politician in Nigeria today has the capacity to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are moving from renewed hope to recovery, and that recovery must be felt in the lives of ordinary Nigerians,” Bwala said.
He noted that leaders of various support groups were present at the parley, including representatives from all six geopolitical zones and delegates who flew in from the United Kingdom.
The presidential aide said the engagement was not a campaign event but a platform to build synergy between the government and its grassroots partners.
“People often wait until election time to look for support groups, but that is not the right way to do it. They are not tools to be used; they are partners in the process. They must be part of what the government is doing,” he explained.
Bwala disclosed that similar town hall meetings would soon be held in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada to engage Nigerians in the diaspora and sustain public enlightenment on the achievements of the Tinubu-led administration.
He added that the Presidency plans to hold the first major progressives’ town hall by November, where all registered support groups would converge to review their strategies and assess the government’s performance.
Reiterating the administration’s achievements, Bwala said Tinubu’s economic restructuring over the last two years is beginning to yield visible results across sectors including energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and job creation.
“We are already seeing the fruits. When we go to the field, you will see progress across the economy, security, education, and agriculture. These groups will continue to carry that message,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, former lawmaker Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a reformer who has laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
“Whether you like it or not, Mr. President, come 2027, will be re-elected. We are not where we used to be, but we are not where we were. We are progressing, and the President is doing everything to fast-track that progress,” Agbonayinma stated.
He commended the administration’s removal of fuel subsidy, noting that the decision has freed up trillions of naira for sub-national governments to drive grassroots development.
Both speakers urged the support groups to continue spreading awareness about the administration’s policies and to sustain unity across regional and partisan lines.
Bwala called for renewed commitment from supporters nationwide, stressing that the Tinubu administration’s focus remains on economic recovery, national cohesion, and inclusive growth.
“President Tinubu has done enough to deserve not only the people’s support but also their love and commitment to enhance what his government has started,” he said.
