JUST IN: Nigerian Senator dumps PDP for APC

The senator representing Bauchi North, Dr. Samaila Dahuwa Kaila, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

His defection was announced on Tuesday during plenary, following the reading of his letter by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In the letter, Senator Kaila explained that his decision to leave the PDP was driven by persistent internal crises within the party, which he said had hindered its ability to operate effectively as an opposition platform.
