Local govt chairman, others meet with bandits (See PHOTOS)

In a bid to restore peace in his area, the Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area in Katsina State, Abubakar Barde, has reportedly met with bandits operating in the area.
The dialogue, held in Bakori town on Sunday , was convened to promote peaceful coexistence and resolve ongoing disputes between pastoralist groups and local residents.
Security analyst Zagozola Makama reported that Barde stressed the need for dialogue and mutual understanding as the foundation for lasting peace, adding that progress and security can only flourish in a climate of harmony.
He reiterated the local government’s commitment to backing all initiatives that foster peace and stability, urging the Fulani representatives to continue collaborating with security agencies and community stakeholders.
Traditional rulers, community leaders, and security officials were also present at the peace meeting.
