 Abuja council chairman seeking reelection gifts SUV to Igbo leader

The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, has donated a sport utility vehicle (SUV) to Uzo Big, a prominent Igbo community leader in Nyanya, Abuja.

Maikalangu, who recently crossed from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is seeking a second term in next year’s area council elections in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to a statement signed on Saturday by Kingsley Madaki, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the AMAC chairman, the Nyanya Igbo community expressed deep appreciation to Maikalangu for his generous donation of the SUV to Uzo.

Community representatives noted that the gesture reflects the chairman’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding dedication within the community.

Mr. Uzo Big, widely respected for his philanthropy and active role in ward development, thanked the chairman for the gift and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote community progress.

The event drew several dignitaries, including APC Chairman, Muktar Abubakar, APC Secretary , Bala Gambo Babale, other party officials, and traditional leaders, who praised the donation as a symbol of inclusive and cooperative governance.
