Canadian man found dead in Lagos hotel

A Canadian citizen, Mr. Dwight Sullivan, has been found dead in his hotel room on Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Security analyst Zagozola Makama reported that the incident occurred in the early hours of October 7 at a hotel located at 191a Adeleke Adedoyin Street, off Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island.
According to sources, the hotel’s Chief Security Officer alerted the police around 4:30 p.m. after the guest was found unresponsive on the floor of his room (Room 114), where he had been staying since October 2.
Detectives from the Victoria Island Division visited and documented the scene. Police said there were no visible signs of violence on the deceased.
The body was later taken to the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina, where a medical officer confirmed the death. The remains were deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Preliminary findings indicated no immediate evidence of foul play, though investigations continue to determine the exact cause of death.
