Sheikh Gumi to Hamas: Release Isreali civilian hostages now, deploy new strategy

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a prominent Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, has urged Palestinian Islamist group Hamas to immediately release all Israeli civilian hostages without conditions.
Posting on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, Gumi described the initial abductions as a strategic error and said Hamas should rethink its approach to reclaiming land.
The cleric’s comments came as Hamas agreed to free Israeli hostages under a ceasefire plan facilitated by United States President Donald Trump, who also called on Israel to halt bombing in Gaza.
Gumi wrote, “Ok, now, Hamas should release all civilian hostages without any conditions. It’s a miscalculation to abduct them in the first place.
“Hamas should just re-plan to take back their indigenous land through the clean use of force, which is their right to use and defend. Then Allah will give them a clear victory. And it’s coming,” he wrote.
