President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of three new heads of strategic federal agencies, a move the presidency says reflects his administration’s drive to strengthen national institutions and accelerate development.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

Among the new appointees is Bello Bawa Bwari from Niger State, who has been named the Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA). His appointment, which takes effect from September 18, 2025, will run for an initial four-year term in line with the provisions of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act, 2015.

Also appointed was Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu from Zamfara State as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Security Tribunal for a five-year tenure, effective September 18, 2025.

Similarly, Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan was confirmed as the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation for an initial four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.

President Tinubu tasked the new appointees to bring their expertise to bear in advancing the mandates of their respective agencies for the benefit of the country.
