Tinubu holds talks with Ogunlesi, Belo-Osagie to boost oil sector investments

President Bola Tinubu met on Monday with prominent global investment figures, including Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital, and Bayo Ogunlesi, Chairman and CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners & BlackRock.
In a statement shared on X, President Tinubu explained that the discussions were focused on unlocking new investment opportunities in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
“We agreed on the urgency of unlocking large-scale investments in upstream oil & gas and critical infrastructure to drive Nigeria’s long-term growth,” the president said.
“Nigeria remains ready to partner with credible global investors, especially our sons of the soil and Nigerians in the diaspora, to deliver energy security and modern infrastructure that powers prosperity across Africa.”
Tinubu also assured the citizens that his administration is creating “a better enabling environment whilst opening new frontiers for sustainable financing, global capital, and transformative projects”.
The president affirmed his commitment to making Nigeria the continent’s leading destination for investors.
