Gunmen kill repentant bandit turned JTF member in Benue market

Panic broke out in Zaki-Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, on Monday after unidentified gunmen shot and killed a repentant bandit, Kyoga Joka, at the town’s main market.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants stormed the bustling trading hub and opened fire on Joka, who had renounced his criminal past and was serving with the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) in Ukum.

The attack sent traders and shoppers running for safety, leaving the market in chaos. Joka died on the spot from the gunfire.
