Tinubu kicks off Lagos visit, heads to Imo

President Bola Tinubu on Friday began a working visit to Lagos as part of activities leading up to Nigeria’s low-key 65th Independence Anniversary.
His trip to Lagos came shortly after he attended the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will hold meetings in Lagos with key figures in the private sector as well as senior government officials.
“He will visit Imo on Tuesday, September 30, to commission projects done by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
“As part of the Independence anniversary, the President will also commission the remodelled National Theatre, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts,” the statement said.
