DSS reportedly arrests popular Kaduna social media influencer

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly taken into custody a popular Kaduna-based social media personality, widely known as Sarkin Sultan, over accusations tied to cyber-related offences.

Security sources said on Saturday that the arrest took place in the early hours of the day after multiple petitions were filed against the influencer.

One of the complainants alleged that the suspect had threatened to make her private photos public on social media, which prompted security agencies to step in and investigate.

Preliminary checks, according to the sources, revealed activities connected to the allegations.

The suspect is expected to face charges in court on Monday once the investigation is finalized.
