Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe loses mother

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mercy Aigbe, is mourning the loss of her beloved mother.

The screen diva broke the sad news on Wednesday via Instagram, where she shared a candlelight image on a broken heart background, accompanied by a short caption: “R.I.P Mum.”

The emotional post has since attracted an outpouring of condolence messages from colleagues, friends, and fans within and outside the entertainment industry, all sympathising with the actress over her painful loss.

The development comes two months after Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola announced the passing of his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola.

He had shared the news on Instagram with a photo of his late father and the caption, “Rest on my daddy.”

Though the cause of death was not disclosed, the announcement also drew a flood of condolences on social media.
