Kaduna came alive on Friday as President Bola Tinubu joined a host of political leaders, monarchs, clerics, and business elites for the wedding Fatiha of Nasirudeen, son of former Zamfara State governor, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, at the Sultan Bello Mosque.

The high-profile ceremony drew dignitaries from across the country, turning Kaduna into a hub of political and social activity. Hotels were fully booked, while security was beefed up ahead of the occasion, with surveillance heightened and movement around the mosque heavily restricted.

President Tinubu, who landed at Kaduna International Airport to a warm reception by Governor Uba Sani, was hailed by residents and party loyalists who thronged the streets with banners and chants.

After the nuptials, the president visited the residence of former President Muhammadu Buhari to condole with his family. He described Buhari as “a selfless leader whose contributions to Nigeria’s unity and progress remain indelible,” assuring the family of his continued support.
