Arsenal go top of EPL with 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest

Arsenal returned from the international break in style, cruising to the top of the Premier League table after a commanding 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s early kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners, determined to respond after their narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool before the break, came out sharp and dominated the opening exchanges. Their persistence was rewarded just before halftime when Martin Zubimendi fired home a superb volley to give the hosts the lead.
Arsenal’s control only grew in the second half as they tightened their grip on the game, adding two more goals to seal the win and underline their title ambitions.
Immediately after the restart, Eberechi Eze fed Viktor Gyokeres to double Arsenal’s advantage and take the game away from Forest.
Zubimendi headed in his second goal of the match from Leandro Trossard’s cross, as Mikel Arteta’s men recorded another huge win at home.
The result takes Arsenal to the summit with nine points from four fixtures.
Liverpool will have the chance to overtake them on Sunday when they travel to Burnley.
