Bandits gun down 8, injure others in Southern Kaduna

Rampaging armed bandits on Sunday stormed Wake village in  Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, leaving eight residents dead and at least 20 others injured, with several of them battling for their lives.

During the violent raid in the community located in Southern Kaduna, the assailants also abducted an undisclosed number of villagers, though the exact figure has not yet been determined.

According to a report by counter-insurgency expert, Zagozola Makama, burials for the victims are already underway, while the community struggles to provide care for the wounded.

As at the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
