Passengers escape death as bus catches fire on 3rd Mainland Bridge

Panic broke out on Monday, September 1, after a commercial bus burst into flames on Lagos’ busy 3rd Mainland Bridge, leaving passengers and motorists in shock.

A video shared by TVC News showed the vehicle completely engulfed by fire as commuters and passersby watched helplessly from a safe distance. The dramatic scene caused tension on the bridge, one of the city’s busiest routes.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident, though eyewitnesses described it as a terrifying experience. Traffic flow was briefly disrupted as motorists slowed down to avoid the blazing vehicle.
